Tech For TradesTM was born from a simple realization: construction and trades companies deserve technology support from someone who actually gets their world.
Growing up in Southwest Florida, I was surrounded by the building trades. My mother ran a realty and building office. My father owned a construction company. My grandfather built both residential and commercial properties. My step-father had a painting business, and several uncles worked as general contractors. I didn’t just learn about the trades from the sidelines—I lived it, supported the family businesses, and saw firsthand how the right (or wrong) technology decisions could make or break a busy season.
After 30 years in corporate IT, including leadership roles across multiple industries, I’ve done it all: implemented software and hardware systems, configured networks and phone systems, managed security plans and reporting, supported developers (and written code myself), developed IT strategy for multi-million dollar public companies, and managed everything from website launches and marketing campaigns to data center builds and system migrations. That experience taught me how to solve complex technology problems efficiently.
But more importantly, it taught me that the best IT support isn’t about showing off technical knowledge—it’s about understanding what you’re actually trying to accomplish and helping you get there without the headaches.
When I’m not optimizing project management systems or integrating accounting software, you’ll find me RV camping with the family, tackling home improvement projects (old habits die hard), or getting stumped in escape rooms.
